Legal
The Intelligence Company AB (publ), org. no. 559487-1682 ("TIC", "we", "us"), operates lei.online and is the data controller for the personal data processed through it. We value your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data. This policy explains what we collect when you search the register, order or transfer an LEI, and sign in — and how we use and protect it.
To issue and maintain an LEI we collect contact details (name, email address, phone number); the identity of the authorised representative who signs the application, confirmed through the e-signing service at the moment of signing; billing and payment details; and technical data (IP address, browser information) together with information about how you use lei.online. The company data behind an LEI — legal name, registered address, organisation number — comes from the public business register, not from you.
We process your personal data to provide the LEI services you order, including issuance, renewal and transfer; to manage the customer relationship and the agreement; to meet our legal obligations and GLEIF's requirements, including publishing the required reference data for an LEI openly in the Global LEI Index; to improve and develop the service; and, with your consent, for relevant communication.
We process your personal data on the following legal grounds, depending on the processing: performance of our agreement with you, compliance with a legal obligation, our legitimate interest, or your consent. Which ground applies depends on the type of processing and your relationship with us.
We keep your personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes it was collected for, or as long as we are required to retain it by law — including the records GLEIF requires an accredited issuer to keep. When the data is no longer needed it is securely deleted.
You have the right to request access to your personal data, request correction of inaccurate data, request erasure ("the right to be forgotten"), object to processing, request restriction of processing, and to data portability. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (IMY).
If you have questions about how we process your personal data, or you want to exercise your rights, contact us at info@tic.io.
